3 Vehicles Burglarized on Elmira, Brown Trails

Laptop computer and briefcase among items reported stolen, police said.

 

A laptop computer, briefcase and an old wallet were stolen from three unlocked vehicles this week, Hopatcong Police said.

According to Lt. Thomas Kmetz, a vehicle parked on Elmira Trail was broken into sometime on either Monday or Tuesday. A Samsung laptop and a leather briefcase were reported stolen, Kmetz said.

Two unlocked vehicles outside a Brown Trail home were broken into sometime during the overnight hours Monday, Kmetz said. While nothing was taken from one of the vehicles, an old wallet with identification cards was stolen from the second vehicle, Kmetz said.

The incidents remain under investigation.
