5 Things You Need to Know This Week

  1. You Need to Know About a Clothing Drive: The Hopatcong High School Parents Student Teachers Organization will host a clothing drive at the auditorium from 9 a.m. to noon. Questions? Call (973) 770-4997.
  2. You Need to Know About a Special Meeting: Hopatcong's council will host a special meeting 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the municipal building to finalize a law creating a health advisory committee and another law placing two council members on the Board of Health.
  3. You Need to Know About a "Earth Day" Nature Hike: The environmental commission will host a nature hike at the Mountain Inlet Sanctuary in the Northwood Section. Call 973-770-0461 to sing up. The hike will be limited to 25 participants.
  4. You Need to Know About Bowling for Project Grad: From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ledgewood's Circle Lanes on Saturday. Cost: $15 for shoes, a slice of pizza and drink. Call 973-770-4997 to make arrangements.
  5. You Need to Know About Garden Fest: From noon to 4 p.m. at Modick Park on Sunday. We'll have plenty more on Garden Fest, which will benefit the Hopatcong Community Garden, soon.
