The borough has a bunch of great events happening from Thursday on. Hit up a fundraiser or two. Or maybe a handful of garage sales over Saturday and Sunday.

55 To Stay Alive
Where/When: At the Hopatcong High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Why Go: To benefit the sophomore class and to have fun in a game-show between students and faculty.
Cost: $5.

Garage Sale Weekend
Where/When: At various locations throughout the borough from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Why Go: Find rare and cheap stuff your neighbors are looking to sell.
Cost: Bring your wallet.

Relay 4 Life
Where/When: At Hopatcong High School from 2 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday.
Why Go: To benefit cancer research—and to have a ton of fun participating in myriad events and eating tons of food.
Cost: Whatever you can give.

British Invasion Band Concert
When/Where: Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson Township High School
Why Go: To hear some great music, dance and have some fun
Cost: $5 in advance, $8 at the door.

Fridays on the Green Concerts
When/Where: Friday, noon, at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown
Why Go:
You want to spend your lunch break enjoying some fine, free music.
Cost:

Manhattan Comedy Night
When/Where:
Friday, 8 p.m. at Mayo Performing Arts Center, Morristown
Why Go:
You want some city yuks without the train fare into the city.
Cost: $25

Boy Scout Troop 112 Car Wash
When/Where:
Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the National Guard Armory
Why Go: Your car can use a spruce, and you want to help support the Scouts.
Cost:

Make Your First Videogame Workshop
When/Where: Saturday, 10 a.m. at The Red Oaks School, Morristown
Why Go: You have a kid aged 8-12 that loves games and is curious about how to make them.
Cost:
Free

Reopening of the Willis Wing at the Morristown & Morris Township Library
When/Where:
Saturday, 10 a.m. (ribbon cutting at noon) at the Morristown & Morris Township Library
Why Go: Because this part of the library is the last to reopen after a May 2010 explosion shut the whole place down.
Cost: Free

'Seeds to Sow and Grow'
When/Where: Saturday, 1 p.m. at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, Morris Township
Why Go:
You want to help plant the seeds and varieties of plants that farmers from way back planted.

Roller Derby: Jerzey Derby Brigade vs. New Brunswick Hellrazors When/Where: Saturday, 6:30 p.m. at Inline Morristown

You want to see Morris County's own roller derby team show their stuff.

NJ AIDS Walk
