Cops: Drunk Driver Was in Wrong Lane
The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A 37-year-old Stanhope woman drove drunk into the oncoming lane on Unger Avenue, police said.
Officer James Bianculli saw a vehicle turn onto Unger Avenue from Brooklyn Road at 2:34 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The vehicle first went over the double yellow lines, and then into the oncoming lane on Unger Avenue, police said.
Bianculli stopped the vehicle and found the driver, Jacquline Bialaszek, to have the smell of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, police said. Bialazek, who failed field sobriety tests, was arrested and then taken to the Hopatcong police department and given a breath test, police said.
Bialaszek was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to keep right.
She was later released to a family member, police said.

Kudos to the hopatcong pd. This is a very busy intersection that many children are at during the school year. People fly down Brooklyn Stanhope like its a highway! Oh and the 2nd DUI in the past months that has been posted!!!! We should be very concerned about our children walking on the road to go to school this year neighbors!!!
