Cops: Man Had Cocaine, Warrants
The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
An investigation into a Hopatcong man with warrants turned up cocaine, police said.
Officer James Bianculli saw Anthony Troyano, 38, driving out of Hopatcong via Lakeside Boulevard with one headlight not working, police said. So Bianculli pulled him over, police said.
Bianculli learned Troyano had warrants out for his arrest, so he instructed Troyano to drive to the Hopatcong police department as he followed, police said.
When they arrived at the department, a search of Troyano revealed metal screens, commonly used for smoking crack cocaine, in his pockets, police said. A further investigation turned up three small plastic bags containing cocaine, a wax for with trace amounts of power and several small razor blades throughout Troyano's vehicle, police said.
Judge William Bowkley then issued a $25,000 warrant for Troyano's arrest, police said. Troyano was taken to the Sussex County jail, police said. Troyano also had two warrants out of Roxbury totaling at least $1,000 and a $184 warrant out of Fort Lee, police said.
Troyano was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle and driving with a headlight out.
