Some Hopatcong children can spend a little extra time trick-or-treating Monday night.

Borough schools will see their second straight closure Tuesday due to power outages. The weekend's storm which hammered Hopatcong—downing trees and power lines and leaving thousands without electricity—also forced schools into their first snow day Monday.

Last school year, Hoptcong didn't use its first snow day until January. It took six overall.

As of 10 a.m., 781 Hopatcong JCP&L customers were without electricity, according to the company's power outage map.
