Rock Thrown Through Car Window Probed By Police

Police said valuables were untouched.

Hopatcong police are investigating an incident in which a car window was broken with a rock Saturday on Idalroy Trail.

According to a press release sent by Lt. Thomas Kmetz, the car's owner said he noticed the window of the car was broken around 6 p.m. The owner was unsure who could have damaged the car, but police said no items appeared to be misplaced.

"Patrols canvassed the neighborhood but no one heard nor saw anything," Kmetz said.

Anyone with information on the incident should contact police at 973-398-5000.

Sometimes you get someone with no self-worth or respect, who thinks its cool and funny to destroy peoples property just because they can. This is usually the same kind of person who is probably sitting there grinning ear to ear as we speak, proudly reading about their handy work and the fact that they got away with it, for now that is....

Hey state park, I guess you do't know what your talking about. Part of the job. Every PD has a spokesperson, instead of having everyone voice an opinion. Part of job description. I own, not rent and I don't mind paying my taxes towards feeling safe and knowing if I need the police they are there. School taxes another story.

First of all, they probed a rock? And if so, how were its valuables untouched?
