A Sparta man was arrested for having multiple warrants and an illegal weapon, Jefferson Township Police Capt. Eric Wilsusen said.

Frank Kane, IV, 24 of Sparta was stopped in his vehicle during a routine patrol on Feb. 10, Wilsusen said. Officer Chris Quidort found Kane to have warrants out of Kinnelon, Hopatcong, Mount Olive and Andover, Wilsusen said.

During Kane’s arrest, Quidort found a set of metal knuckles in the vehicle, Wilsusen said. Kane was then charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and later turned over to Kinnelon Police Department.
