Hopatcong Teachers Run to School, Poll Worker Training

Your daily planner for Hopatcong and Sparta.

Here's what you need to know for Friday.

Could you imagine a day when teachers would run to school? Friday is that day. A group of Durban Avenue School faculty members decided to run to school as part of the Road Runners Club of America's RUN@School fitness campaign. The teachers said the exertion is worth it to set a healthy example for the students, who have supported the teachers' run.

The Hopatcong Senior Center will host a training for people interested in working the polls in the upcoming special Oct. 16 U.S. Senate and Nov. 5 general elections. The training takes place from 2-7:30 p.m. at 32 Lakeside Blvd.
