MORRIS HABITAT HONORS THOSE WHO HELP MAKE DREAMS OF HOMEOWNERSHIP COME TRUE

Randolph, NJ:  At the 9th Annual Hearts and Hammers Gala, to be held on February 22, 2014, Morris Habitat for Humanity will honor several important partners who have gone above and beyond expectations to make homeownership possible for lower income families and individuals.

This year’s award winners include:

- David Bossart, President of Bossart Builders, will receive the 2014 Beth Everett Award.  This award, was created last year in memory of Beth Everett a former Board member and dedicated volunteer. It is presented to past Board of Directors' members who continue to serve and stay actively engaged in Morris Habitat’s programs and services.

- New Jersey Natural Gas will be the recipient of the 2014 Corporate Partnership Award.  Each year, this award is presented to a corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life for New Jersey residents. 

-The 2014 ReStore Pioneer Award will go to Eric Lebersfeld, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Capitol Lighting. His continuous support of the ReStore helps Morris Habitat build much needed affordable housing in Morris County.

- Roberta L. Strater, Executive Director of the Morris County Housing Authority will receive the Founders Award for working in partnership with Morris Habitat to provide safe, decent, affordable housing to local families.

The event will be held at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, NJ, with live music and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit Morris Habitat for Humanity. About Morris Habitat ReStore

Operated by Morris Habitat for Humanity, the ReStore sells donated building supplies and furnishings at huge savings off normal retail costs. Proceeds from the store have funded the construction of 8 houses since 2007 and kept more than 3,000 tons of material out of landfills.
