Teens arrested on drug charges
HOPATCONG — Five teens were arrested for smoking marijuana in the woods off Coolidge Trail, police said.
On Sept. 4 at 4:55 p.m., police received a report of a group of teens in the woods. The officers walked into the woods and found the five teens by a large rock.
The officers could see the smoke and smell the odor of burnt marijuana, police said. One of the teens had a bowl and some bags containing marijuana in her purse. All five, ages 15 and 16, were arrested, taken to headquarters, charged, processed and released to their parents pending a court date in juvenile court.

They were charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of paraphernalia and being under the influence of controlled dangerous substances.
