Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Tuesday

Snow is expected to fall during the morning commute, and experts say the precipitation could affect the evening rush too.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Sussex County on Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., the National Weather Service announced Monday.

Snow is expected to begin falling between 5 and 7 a.m. and travel difficulties are likely during the morning commute. NWS meteorologists predict snowfall will end between noon and 3 p.m. Tuesday, however, they caution motorists to drive carefully during afternoon rush hours.

Total snow accumulation will be between two and four inches, forecasters predict.
