New Restaurant to Replace Parkside

Thyme Out! will open in June.

A Hopatcong landmark will soon reopen its doors. But with a new name.

Thyme Out! will replace Parkside Coffee & Grill in June. Roy Malmendier spent a few minutes Tuesday afternoon with former Parkside owner Frank Ferraro hanging a sign announcing the new business. Malmendier owns Thyme Out! with Colette Ioffredo, who also owns with her husband, and Linda Gayle-Fraizer.

Malmendier said he has spent about 30 years in the restuarant business. He said he doesn't have an opening date for the business yet. But he said Thyme Out! will start out offering breakfast, lunch and ice cream from Cliff's in Roxbury. Malmendier also said Thyme Out! will feature catering and baked goods.

Parkside closed its doors in November due to a sluggish economy, Ferraro said.

Editor's note: Patch will have more on the business when Thyme Out! nears its opening.
