See 'Melo and D-Will Without Buying Tickets

These locations around Hopatcong offer plenty of TVs, great food.

The NBA's trading period ends Thursday at 3 p.m., and both area teams have made huge splashes in recent days. The New York Knicks added star scorer Carmelo Anthony. The New Jersey Nets picked up all-star point guard Deron Williams.

You know you want to see each of these guys in their new uniforms, but don't want to slap down perhaps hundreds of dollars to see them live. Instead, let Patch suggest a few local places to check out the Nets' game on Saturday and the Knicks' Sunday contest.

Applebees (Mount Olive): It's almost never packed, the prices are right and eight TVs surround the bar.

Miami Mike's (East Hanover): Widely regarded as the area's top sports bar, Miami Mike's has 50 high-definition TVs and even a couple big screens. It helps Mike's also shows pay-per-views later in the night, turning an afternoon excursion to an all-day event.

Mount Olive Bar and Grill: Just down Route 206 South, MO BAGs has plenty of bar space and tables for any big game. Try the fish and chips.

Black River Barn (Randolph): You're going to want to get a seat at the bar. And when you do, you'll be almost nose-to-screen with one of the many large TVs. You could probably count the sweat beads above 'Melo's headband.

Grasshopper Off The Green (Morristown): If you don't mind the half-hour drive, Grasshopper could be the best location. With two floors, many TVs, and a large, well-staffed bar, you can't go wrong. Plus, you're in the heart of Morristown. If you don't like it, you can move to a new spot and watch Williams rack up the assists.
