Employment Horizons Welcomes Newton Resident Ben Ferri to the Board

Employment Horizons’ Board of Trustees recently welcomed Ben Ferri, Marketing Manager at Net Access, LLC, as its newest member.  Ferri was prompted to join the Board after seeing the positive impact that Employment Horizons has on the community, providing job training and placement for people with disabilities. “This is a mission that I strongly believe in and I am honored to join the great team of trustees and contribute towards this organization’s continued success,” said Ferri.

Ferri has a personal connection to the mission of Employment Horizons as well; his oldest childhood friend, David, has a learning disability and attended special education classes throughout school. After high school his options were limited and his parents enrolled him in a program similar to those provided by Employment Horizons. David received training and job placement at a local hardware store. “Now,” says Ferri, “he is so happy to be working, interacting with people, and making money which gives him a sense of independence.”
