As always you bring us the start of another frenetic week in Hopatcong. Can't we go back to the warm weekend? That was a rhetorical question, Monday. Don't give us that cross-eyed look.

Here are 5 Things You Need to Know This Week.

  1. You Need to Know About Monday: Hopatcong's municipal court meets at 2 p.m. since it's the month's third Monday. It meets at 7:30 p.m. the rest of the month.
  2. You Need to Know About Tuesday: Not only will the planning board meet at borough hall to consider the adoption of borough's updated open space master plan, but the Hopatcong Middle School will host its graduation. Oh, and no big deal, but Tuesday marks the start of summer.
  3. You Need to Know About Wednesday: Caps flying in the air. Project Graduation. Hundreds of fist-pumping teenagers brimming with a sense of accomplishment. Yup, Hopatcong High School will hold its graduation on Wendesday. There will also be health board and environmental commission meetings that night.
  4. You Need to Know About Thursday: Modick Park will host the first dunk-tank fundraiser for Kyle O'Brien, , from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Show up if you want to dunk Goodbye Friday.
  5. You Need to Know About Friday: Modick Park will host the second dunk-tank fundraiser for Kyle. But this time participants can dunk borough police officers. Same time as Thursday. Hopatcong's youth hockey program will present its awards at Brant Park at 6:30 p.m., too.
