A Night of Hope in Hopatcong

And more fun events happening in and around the borough this weekend.

The Hopatcong High School Parent Teacher Student Organization wants to give borough families hope for the holiday season.

But it will all start with "A Night of Hope."

The HHSPTSO will host a concert at at 7 p.m. Friday. Leaders ask for at least a $5 donation. All off the proceeds will go toward families in need in Hopatcong for the holidays.

Morristown EMS 3rd Annual Santa Run
When/Where: Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m., all around Morristown
Why Go: You love Santa? Duh! Head to Longfellow's Deli from noon to 1 p.m. for a special Santa stop.

The Nutcracker: A Timeless Tale Revisited
When/Where: Saturday, 2:30 p.m., Morristown High School
Why Go: Because it's the holidays. And, really, The Nutcracker is about as holiday as Charlie Brown's Christmas special.

Holiday Style: A Capella and More
When/Where: Saturday, 3 p.m. at The College of St. Elizabeth
Why Go: You enjoy a capella, and excuses to get into the holiday spirit.
Cost: $20

Full Moon Hike
When/Where: Saturday, 6 p.m. at Jockey Hollow, Morristown National Historical Park
Why Go: You want to enjoy the beauty of late fall in Morris County. Hot cider and mulled wine will be served at the end!

"Reflections on My Life as a Rabbi"_
When/Where: Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the __
Why Go: To listen to Rabbi Sally J. Priesand, the first female formally ordained as a rabbi, speak about her experiences. The presentation is being sponsored by the Jewish Congregation of Kinnelon.

_Zumba Class_
When/Where: Thursday at 7:15 p.m. at 69 Carey Avenue, Butler
Why Go: To burn calories while dancing to latin-inspired music.
Cost: $5 for new students; $10 for everyone else.

_Weekend Family Walk_

Why Go: To enjoy time with your children (all ages are invited) while walking the wooded area of Pyramid Mountain.

_Breakfast With Santa and Vendor Shoppe_

Why Go: Because the golden lariat will force you to admit: You love Wonder Woman.

When/Where: Sunday at 2 p.m., Museum of Early Trades & Crafts, 9 Main St., Madison
Why Go: Take in the beauty of the season with harpist Odarka Stockert as she delights with enchanting melodies. 
Cost: $10 for Non-Members, $5 for Members. 

Breakfast with Santa
When/Where: Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at California Pizza Kitchen in the Bridgewater Commons Mall
Why Go: To eat breakfast pizzas, French toast sticks or pancakes with the big guy from the North Pole, and to donate to charity because a portion proceeds will go to the United Way.
Cost: $8 per person, but children under 2 years of age eat free

Hanukkah Sale/Concert
When/Where: Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Martin and Edith Stein Assisted Living Residence on DeMott Lane in Somerset.
Why Go: To purchase gifts for those who are important to you from 15 different vendors, and to enjoy the music at 3 p.m. of the The Makhelat Ha’Mercaz. Cost: Free, but bring money to purchase from the vendors.

All You Can Eat Breakfast
When/Where: Sunday at 8 a.m. with the Raritan Knights of Columbus on Anderson Street in Raritan.
Why Go: To enjoy a special holiday breakfast with omeletes, bacon, pancakes, French toast and more, all while supporting the Knights of Columbus and future charity endeavors.
Cost: $8 per person
