Admit It: You Want to Know What Hopatcong Was Like Back in the Day

Well, here's your chance to find out.

Ever wonder what Lake Hopatcong was like back in the day?

Here's your chance to find out.

The Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum will take a look at life around Lake Hopatcong during the 1960s as part of its dinner series at The Arlington in Mount Arlington on May 7. Social hour starts at 6 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. buffet and an 8 p.m. program. Cost: $25 per person.

On tap: a presentation focusing on the days of the Mad House, Bertrand Island Park, Bear Farm Zoo, wooden boats, the Ledgewood Drive-In, a Dover shopping center and Hopatcong's golf course and bowling alley.

The presentation is in commemoration of the 50th anniversarty of President John F. Kennedy's inauguration, museum President Martin Kane said.
