Anti-Bullying Presentation at Sparta High School

There will be an anti-bullying presentation for parents on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Sparta High School's auditorium. Check back this week with more news about the event.

Halloween Parade in Sparta

The Halloween Munchkin March Costume Parade & Trunk or Treat event will be held Friday. The Trunk or Treat will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Memorial/Ungerman Complex Parking Lot, and the costume parade will begin at 6 p.m. on the Memorial Football Field. Prizes will be awarded to the top costumes.

Hopatcong Pound Project Holds Fundraiser

The Hopatcong Pound Project will hold their next fundraiser at Pavinci's on Friday from 8 p.m. to midnight. There will be a band performing at 9:30 p.m., with other activities and door prizes. All money raised will go to help out local animals at the pound.

Sparta Township Council Meets

The town council will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building. We'll go over what went on at the council's latest meeting.

Task Force Meeting Dates Set

We'll go over the latest about Hopatcong BOE's new Task Force group, that includes over 50 community volunteers and was created by board members to improve the high school. We'll talk to board members about what was discussed at their meeting last week with the NJ School Boards Association, and when the first Task Force meeting date is set.
