Big Hopatcong Fundraiser Walk Saturday

The best part: it costs you nothing.

A fundraiser benefitting several Hopatcong organizations at no cost to you?

That's the plan for Saturday's Hudson Farm Charity Hike at 270 Stanhope-Sparta Rd. Walkers can start the 4-mile hike through the borough's woods from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., and Hudson Farm will donate $1 for the age of each participant—meaning, if you're 30 years old, that's $30 of donations you can spread around to Hopatocng's parent-teacher organizations, fire department, Community Emergency Response Team, PBA Local 149 and youth sports organizations.

Organizer Jacki Hangley said it's not an event to miss.

"It's a beautiful hike," she said. "There's spectacular scenery, you'll be donating to really good causes and you get a free lunch."

That's right—hot dogs, hamburgers soda and water will be served at no cost.
