State Seeks Input From Residents on JCP&L Response

The BPU will hold a public hearing at Hopatcong Middle School on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. for residents to express comments and concerns about the loss of power in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Hopatcong Council Meets Wednesday

The borough council will next meet on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building.

Hopatcong BOE Meets Monday

The Hopatcong Board of Education will have their next meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Check back this week to see what was discussed at the meeting.

Hopatcong High School Launches Online Newspaper

The high school recently launched its new online newspaper, The Arrow, last week. We talk to some teachers and students involved about how the idea came about.

'Family Night' At IHOP to Benefit Project Graduation

IHOP in Kenvil will host a Family Night on Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m. to benefit Hopatcong High School Project Graduation.

Stuents Perform In Holiday Concerts

There's a number of holiday concerts this week in both Hopatcong and Sparta. The Hopatcong High School band will peform on Wednesday at 7 p.m. In Sparta, students at the Helen Morgan School will perform Monday at 7 p.m., and the middle school will play at the high school on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Sparta High School will have their band concert on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and orchestra concert on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Holiday Break Begins

Friday is the last day before students in both Hopatcong and Sparta are off for holiday break until Jan. 2. Hopatcong students will have an early dismissal on Friday, and Sparta students will have a full day.
