Girl Scouts Pitch in at Lake Hopatcong

Hopatcong girls help stock trout.

Next time you're fishing at Lake Hopatcong, make sure to thank Hopatcong's Girl Scouts.

The children spent several hours Saturday morning helping the Knee Deep Club stock the lake with trout. The girls went out on the lake several times, parent Koren Boström said, and had a blast.

"The girls LOVED that they were able to help out first hand and know that each time they pass the Lake, they have helped to put the newest residents there," Boström said in an email.

"It was chilly and windy, but they had a blast and hope to make an annual event of it. They are so gung-ho when it comes to community service."

Keelyn Boström, Joelle Tone and Alexsandra Aselta of Troop 4074 and Alexix Lerner of Troop 396 attended the stocking.
