How to Beat the Heat on Lake Hopatcong

5 things you need to know about keeping cool.

It’s hot—we know it, you know, it, and you’re probably tired of hearing us say it. But it is. One way to beat the heat is to hit the shores of Lake Hopatcong. And here are some things you can do on the lake:

  1. Rent a Boat: Bridge Marina has boats for rent on an hourly, half-day or full day basis. Click here for more information.
  2. Go Fishing: There are several places all over the lake where you can cast off and make a catch. Find out where here.
  3. Go for a Swim: Lee’s County Park and Hopatcong State Park are two of the places that offer public bathing on the lake. Come on in, the water’s fine!
  4. Check Out Water Sports: At Lakeview Marina, you can get some help with water skiing or wakeboarding. Enjoy the water in as many ways as possible.
  5. Camp Out: You can camp at Lee’s County Park or at . And you’ll be right near the lake, for swimming, fishing or boating.
