There is a minimum $5 entrance fee at the door. All proceeds go to benefit the Field of Dreams foundation, which aims to make the idea for the field a reality. The Warriors currently use five different facilities around town throughout the football season.

Anderson died in 2007. A year previous, he was instrumental in organizing a Warriors golf outing as a way to raise funds for the program. Since his death, the golf outing (set this year for Sept. 15) has held in his name.

Dave Barella, vice president for the Hopatcong Warriors, said if all goes well, Saturday’s event will raise close to $5,000. Currently the foundation has more than $50,000 in its coffers. Barella said since the effort to get a field is ongoing, there's no cut-off target for fundraising.

"It's open ended, no set end date. When it happens, it happens," he said.

Proceeds from the day’s 50/50 raffle will be split between two Hopatcong families, those of ) and Brandon Vanderhoof, whom organizers said is also battling a brain tumor.

Several of local businesses have offered their services for free or sponsored specific events at Saturday’s festival.

Parking for the festival is available in most places surrounding the firehouse, but guests are asked not to park at the firehouse itself Parking is also available at the lot and lot after noon.
