No Insurance? Sussex County Offering Low-Cost Health Screenings

Must register; cost: $25. Screenings for blood, men's and women's health available.

  1. You Need to Know Who's Eligible: Sussex County is offering $25 health screenings at various locations throughout the county for residents without insurance to cover routine screenings an participants in New Jersey Cancer Early Education and Detection.
  2. You Need to Know Who Isn't: Residents with health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid aren't eligible.
  3. You Need to Know When and Where: There will be a blood screening on Oct. 29 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Vernon Municipal Building on 21 Church St. in Vernon. On Nov. 2, there will be a women's health screening, including a thin-prep PAP test, at New Perspectives Health Care on Main Street in Sparta from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Nov. 9, there will be a men's health screening at Hopatcong's from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
