Freezing Fun for Charity at the 'Leap in the Lake'

Snow, winds and cold temperatures do not stop folks from 'taking the plunge' in Lake Hopatcong

The remnants of a winter blizzard didn't deter participants in the Elks sponsored 4th Annual Leap in the Lake to benefit children with disabilities

It was a very cold, windswept Lake Hopatcong that was the site of the 'Lead in the Lake' Saturday afternoon.  The event was hosted by the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge #782.

A Post Leap in the Lake Party was held for those in attendance with food, raffles, giveaways, music. All plungers will receive a complimentary ticket to the Post Leap Party and a “Leap in the Lake” shirt. A tax deductible donation was collected from all who participated.

All the proceeds of the event, now in its 4th year, go to help the Lake Hopatcong Elks Special Children's Committee to fund kids going to Camp Moore, a camp for children with disabilities and to other youth activity programs.
