Super Bowl Raffle, Cards for Arts Ahead This Week

Hopatcong, Sparta and Jefferson all have council meetings in coming days.

The month continues to roll along as we head toward mid-May, and the area is filled with big events this week.

Let’s take a look at what’s going on.

You Need Super Bowl Tickets: That’s right, seats for the big game are up for grabs at St. Therese School through May 30. Raffle tickets are $75 each, and the winner will get two seats to the game and a three-night stay at a nearby hotel.

You Need to Hold ‘Em for a Good Cause: American Legion Post 423 in Oak Ridge will host a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament & Blackjack Fundraiser at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 17. Buy in is $100 and proceeds benefit arts in Jefferson Township. Go here for more information.

You Need Council Meetings: The Hopatcong Mayor and Council will meet Wednesday, May 25, and the Sparta Mayor and Council will meet Tuesday, May 14. Both meetings begin at 7 p.m. and are open to the public. All residents are encouraged to attend.

You Need a Jefferson Council Meeting: The Mayor and Council are scheduled to meet Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at Camp Jefferson. The agenda notes the municipal budget is scheduled to be voted on, and the public is encouraged to attend.
