Rosco, our K-9 who we lost in July. Very big part of our community.

The reason it takes at least a year to train a K-9 and going out of state for certifications, always making sure he stayed on track( no pun) all the time. Really it is a full time job,well worth it,but still alot of work. You have to be a very dedicated person, like detective Luciani was. He was to us a beloved family member, but still did his job. we miss him everyday.

I agree with as many puppies that are brought to Hopatcong pound there is one of them who is worthy of becoming a K-9 dog. Granted he would never replace Rosco in your hearts but he or she could at least carry on the good works Rosco did. It benefits all around, a job is filled and a pup gets a chance to live on a happy productive life and some joy is brought to a lot of peoples hearts.
