Veterans Cemetery, Hopatcong Council Up This Week

Hey, June: Think we can get some sunshine this week? You’ve been pretty dreary and not making for a nice end of spring. Since we’re preparing to welcome the official start of summer this week, maybe we can start warming up and drying out a bit?

Aside from the weather, there’s plenty of news to keep your eye on this week. Let’s see what Hopatcong-Sparta Patch is cooking up for barbecue season.

We’ll be brining to you a story regarding the Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery and how the Sparta Township Council delayed a vote to pass a resolution on the measure at its most recent meeting.

The Hopatcong Mayor and Council will also meet this week, on Wednesday, June 19 at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.

At its last meeting, the governing body discussed its participation in a county-wide study by Complete Streets. Residents have weighed in with their opinions on the matter. What’s your take?
