NO CONTEST Hopatcong's mayor, an incumbent councilman and a council newcomer snagged easy wins in Tuesday's elections despite a last-minute write-in campaign that snagged more than a few votes. Click for the story.

REFERENDUM PASSED Hopatcong will most likely combine its planning and zoning boards into a single land-use board after a referendum passed asking borough residents their opinion. A day after the vote, zoning board President Kenneth Trumpore said he supported the measure. Click for more.

END OF A RUN Hopatcong High School's football team fell to Ramsey, 35-6, on the road in the North 1, Group 2 first round on Friday.
