Hopatcong Independents Plan Get Out the Vote Rally

The local Independent Club hosts a rally with music and more to introduce voters to candidates running for school board and county surrogate.

With less than two weeks to go until the Nov. 5 general election, the Hopatcong Independent Club wants to make sure voters are fully informed and energized to cast their ballots before the polls open. To that end, the group has announced it will hold a Get Out the Vote Rally next Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.

Residents are invited to come to hear what local Board of Education candidates have to say; all have been invited to attend. Independent Sussex County surrogate hopeful Bob Morris is expected to attend as well.

The free event runs from 7-10 p.m. and will take place at the Hopatcong Senior Center, 32 Lakeside Blvd. Organizers say food and entertainment will be provided and that Elvis will make an appearance.
