5 Groups to Consider for Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday offers everyone an opportunity to reach out in service to others. That service can take many forms such as volunteering one's physical labor or professional skills, donating goods or sharing resources for worthy causes. Writing a check or inputting a credit card number to a secure website works too.

• The Blackwell Street Center for the Arts, Dover 
  The cooperative gallery was developed by a group of artists as a place to show their work.
• Hopatcong Against Drugs, Hopatcong
  Outraged by a drug bust at a family restaurant, a grassroots collective of citizens rose up to make their town drug-free.
  
• Hopatcong Pound Project, Hopatcong
  Did you know the local pound does not receive tax dollars? But what a job it does to care for and protect animals.
• The Jersey Gators, Sussex County
  This group uses swimming as a basis for helping people succeed in the pool and in life.
• Legal Services of Northwest Jersey
  Offers free civil legal services for low-income people, including maintaining essential needs, senior programs, domestic abuse, homelessness, eviction, and foreclosure. Serves Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex and Warren counties
