Hopatcong Cub Scout Pack 88 Has Sock War

Hopatcong Cub Scout Pack 88 held their monthly Pack meeting last week at the Hopatcong Middle School.

Den 5’s Webelos presentation of Colors was followed by Cubmaster Mike Nicotra’s lesson on Faith, one of the 12 Cub Scout Core Values.

The Pack’s presentation of dozens of awards for Civic, Academic and Athletic achievements was complimented by a clever skit presented by Den Chief Josh Speizer and the Tigers of Den 2.

The meeting culminated with Pack 88’s first ever sock ball fight.

The pack was divided into the Blue and Gold forces each armed with hundreds of pairs of socks. The Scouts stood toe-to-toe for several rounds of cotton combat. The socks will be donated to the needy in the community.
