I LOVE IT

I saw that sign a couple of days ago around the corner from my house and it put a big smile on my face. I'm so grateful for the work Robin and the members of HAD are doing for us. It shows people who think they can come here and peddle poison that we aren't going to put up with it anymore. Hopefully I will be able to attend a meeting soon because you are doing something great for us and I would love to support HAD in any way possible.

where can i donate to treat drug addicts in hopatcong?... lawn signs are a "feel good" but accomplish nothing action...
Frank Santagata November 30, 2013 at 03:15 PM
Lawn signs are more than a feel good thing, if you do as they say you will not tolerate the corner drug deal nor the neighbor that is dealing. If the user/dealer knows they are being watched they move on down the line. Help keep them out of or town by reporting them to the police and have their asses carted away like the trash they are. Illegal as well as some legal drugs do nothing but hurt people!!

so... the "war on drugs" can be won with a "zero" tolerance policy... hmmmm... good luck with that... i say legalize now... bring this epidemic out into broad daylight... thank you...

Until the laws change and legalize pot, its against the law!! I say if you have laws enforce them or remove the law because it is serving no purpose. However all harder drugs should be controlled very closely or keep them banned. The government makes money on drugs so thus the reason they are reluctant to change the laws. I grew up in the 60s 70s and heroin users were the scum of the earth, now they are they high school kids who lives next door. Don't you see something wrong with this????
Eyeballs December 01, 2013 at 03:12 PM
yes... something indeed is wrong... the "war on drugs" has been a complete and utter failure... overcrowded prisons and an industry that does not want things to change... pack that in your pipe and smoke it... thank you...

Eyeballs is wrong. The war on drugs is not a failure. It is a big cash machine. It cost $55,000 per year to house someone in prison. Want to stop drug places? Then stop the" got cash no questions asked" on Hopatcong tax foreclosure properties. If you can't buy big ticket items without being checked out first it won't pay to make illegal drug money if can't acquire real wealth with this cash.

We do accept contributions to our organization, HAD Hopatcong Against Drugs. Any contributions received will go towards purchasing more lawn signs for the community. Currently we have been funding the lawn sign campaign through the board members and their families making personal contributions. Our signs only cost $1.65 each per 100 ordered. If all our Facebook members sent in $1.65 each, we could order 600 more signs. If you would like to help us with the lawn sign campaign, you can send a check payable to HAD – Hopatcong Against Drugs. It can be mailed to P.O. Box 826, Hopatcong, NJ 07843. Please help out if you can and thanks for your continued support.
