Sussex Coalition Communities Drug Trend Meeting for All Concerned Adults

Heroin and prescription drug articles are in the news daily….. why?…. because this problem continues to grow as a nationwide epidemic. There were 13 overdose deaths in our county alone last year and more where people overdosed but, luckily, survived. The problem of drugs and drug abuse in our county is everyone’s problem.

How can you help? Be proactive and come out on March 24th to hear a variety of speakers reveal the issues surrounding substance abuse in Sussex County. Let’s focus on addressing the problem in a proactive manner. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators, clergy, local government, law enforcement, the business community, service providers, youth group leaders and youth (grades 7th and up) are all invited to be part of the solution. This is a countywide problem and needs a countywide approach.
