12 Nabbed on Drug Charges in 'Operation Fall Clean-Up'

A month-long probe brought down individuals allegedly involved in distributing drugs throughout Morris County and Hopatcong.

A dozen area men residents various drug charges following a month-long multi-agency investigation, authorities said Friday.

Lt. Thomas Kmetz said the announcement marked the end of the probe, which he said was initiated based on tips given to police officers in the three towns regarding drug distribution in Hopatcong and in Morris County. Police departments in Jefferson, Mt. Olive and Randolph, along with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, also assisted in the arrests.

Kmetz said the arrests took place through October and November; the charges are as follows:

  • Christopher Robillard, 30, of Budd Lake, was arrested on Oct. 23, and charged with heroin possession and possession with intent to distribute heroin. He was released on his own recognizance.
  • Angela Buffardi, 30, of Stanhope, was arrested on Oct. 23, and charged with heroin possession and possession with intent to distribute heroin. She was released on her own recognizance.
  • Deena Grieco, 28, of Hopatcong, was arrested on Oct. 24, and charged with heroin possession and allegedly being under the influence of heroin. She was released on her own recognizance.
  • Nicole Pentlicki, 25, of Stanhope, was arrested on Oct. 30, and charged with possession of Xanax, possession with intent to distribute Xanax and distribution of Xanax. She was released on her own recognizance.
  • Leonard Schein, 51, of Randolph, was arrested Oct. 30, and charged with possession of Xanax, possession with intent to distribute Xanax and distribution of Xanax. Schein is being held on $50,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
  • Wayne Wallace, 26, of Lake Hopatcong, was arrested on Nov. 15, and charged with heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute heroin, distribution of heroin and conspiracy to possess heroin. He is being held on $100,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
  • Stephen Secola, 26,  of Mt. Arlington, was arrested on Nov. 15, and charged with marijuana possession, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and distribution of marijuana. Secola is being held on $25,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
  • Kyle Zeglen, 21, of Oak Ridge, was arrested on Nov. 15, and charged with heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute heroin and distribution of heroin. He is being held on $60,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
  • Markella Strongilos, 23, of Jefferson, was arrested on Nov. 15, and charged with possession of Xanax, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Barbara Campbell, 23, of Hamburg, was arrested Nov.15, and charged with possession of Xanax, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Alyssa Esposito, 24, of Randolph, was arrested Nov. 15, and charged with heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute heroin, distribution of heroin and conspiracy to possess heroin. Esposito is being held on $100,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
  • Patricia Ciuzio, 33, of Sparta, was arrested on Nov. 15, and charged with possession of roxicodone, possession with intent to distribute roxicodone and distribution of roxicodone. She is being held on $60,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
