'Drive Sober' Campaign Nets 17 Arrests in Hopatcong

Police said more than 100 summonses were issued.

Hopatcong police shared details of a month-long "Drive Sober or Get Pulled" over campaign on Monday, showing 17 motorists were arrested on drug charges or for driving while intoxicated.

According to Lt. Thomas Kmetz, the program, which is funded by a grant, was held from Dec. 7 through Jan. 2. A checkpoint was stationed on Lakeside Boulevard and roving patrols throughout the borough were also involved in the arrests and summonses.
