$2K Mountain Bike Stolen From Unlocked Jeep

Bike was taken from the vehicle sometime between March 22 and March 31 on Brooklyn Mountain Road.

A mountain bike worth $2,000 was stolen from the back of an unlocked Jeep on Brooklyn Mountain Road, Hopatcong Police said.

According to Lt. Thomas Kmetz, a 29-inch specialized stump jumper mountain bike was stolen from the unlocked vehicle sometime between March 22 and March 31.

The bike has a black powder coated frame with front suspension/hard tail, disc brakes on the front and rear and a red water holder, according to Kmetz.

Anyone with information can contact the Hopatcong Police Department at 973-398-5000. Police remind residents to lock their vehicles.
