Change was taken from center console of unlocked car overnight.

Hopatcong police are investigating a reported theft of $40 worth of change from a car that was parked on the 200 block of Tulsa Trail on Monday, according to Lt. Thomas Kmetz.

The car's owner reported that his car had been entered and the change was taken from the center console of his unlocked car overnight. Nothing else was taken from the car, Kmetz said.

While officers spoke to neighbors, Kmetz said none reported hearing or seeing anything.
