Cops: Hopatcong Man Chases Group, Hits Man With Bat

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hopatcong man chased a group of people and hit a man with a baseball bat, police said.

Dylan Tallaksen, 19, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of weapon with unlawful purpose.

Police said they responded to a report of a dispute in the middle of River Styx Road on May 23. Police said a man, who was bleeding from his right elbow, told them Tallaksen hit him with a baseball bat.

Tallaksen was transported to Sussex County Jail on $25,000 bail, police said.
