Cops: Hopatcong Woman Banged on Neighbors' Doors, Screamed

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An unruly Hopatcong woman slammed on neighbors' doors and screamed in the middle of the night after police told her to stop, police said.

Sandra Kevitz, 28, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Police said they responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex on River Styx Road around 11:30 p.m. on May 24. Police said several of Kevitz's neighbors complained that she was banging on their doors and screaming. One neighbor said Kevitz tried entering her apartment, police said.

Police said they found Kevitz at the top of a flight of stairs, leaning against a wall and yelling. Police said Kevitz looked intoxicated and admitted to drinking "a pint of vodka." Police said they had warned Kevitz earlier in the night to stop banging on doors, and that she said she remembered the warning.

Kevitz was processed and released, police said.
