Cops: Jefferson Man Hid Pot in His Underwear

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Jefferson man hid pot in his underwear, said.

Officer James Bianculli stopped a car with a broken tail light and three passengers on River Styx Road at 12:54 a.m. Saturday, police said. A pat down of the driver, Devon Wilhelm, of Oak Ridge, revealed an object in his pants, which he admitted was marijuana, police said. Wilhelm, 19, also admitted drinking a beer, police said.

Justine Hopper, of Oak Ridge, had pot and amphetamines in her purse, police said. Hopper, 19, had also been drinking, police said.

Cameron Harris had a sandwich-sized bag and three small plastic bags of pot in his underwear, police said.

Each were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle. Hopper and Wilhelm each were also charged with underage drinking. Wilhelm was also charged with driving with a broken tail light, driving while intoxicated, underage and reckless driving.

Each were processed and released, police said.
