Cops: Man Drove Drunk on Durban Ave.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hopatcong man was drunk driving on Durban Avenue, police said.

Officer Anthony Cirri was running radar on Durban Avenue at almost 1 a.m. June 9, police said. Then Cirri caught a vehicle speeding and pulled it over, police said.

The driver, 44-year-old Alan Kronstadt, had the smell of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, police said. After failing field sobriety tests, Kronstadt was arrested and taken to the , where he gave breath samples, police said.

Kronstadt was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding. He was later released to a family member, police said.
