Cops: Man Overdosed on Heroin, Had Pot

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hopatcong man overdosed on heroin and had pot nearby, police said.

Officer Christopher Lotito responded to an Alfred Way home on a report of an overdose at 9 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Lotito found Wolf Schinzil Jr., 20, slumped over, police said. When Lotito woke Schinzil up, he found that he had injected two bags on heroin, police said. The needle and a small metal pill container holding marijuana was also in the room, police said.

Schinzil was taken to the hospital, police said. When he was released he was charged with being under the influence of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic syringe, police said.
