Cops: Student Had Pot Pipe in High School

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A student brought a pot pipe to , police said.

Officer William Sutphen responded to the high school on a report of a 15-year-old with a marijuana pipe on Tuesday, said.

After the student was accused by school officials of drinking alcohol, a school official searched her pocketbook, which contained a pipe with burned marijuana residue, police said.

The student was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The student was processed and released to a family member, police said.
