Cops: Teen Busted After Bolting From Fight Scene
The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A Hopatcong man left the scene of a fight after being ordered by an officer to stay put, police said.
Officer William Sutphen responded to a report of a fight on Divito Trail at 6:46 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Dylan Scarpone, 19, was about to leave in a vehicle when Sutphen arrived, police said. But Sutphen ordered Scarpone to stay until Sutphen assessed the report, police said. That's when Scarpone told Sutphen "no" and that he had nothing to do with the fight before speeding away, police said.

Sutphen's investigation found that 17-year-old had been drinking alcohol in his house while his parents were away, police said. The 17-year-old later got into a fight with another juvenile, police said. The 17-year-old who had been drinking was arrested and charged with underage drinking, police said.
Sutphen later contacted Scarpone, who went to the and was charged with obstructing an investigation, police said.
