Cops: Woman Admits Injecting Heroin

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hopatcong woman found with a syringe in her hand admitted doing heroin, police said.

Officers responded to a report of an unconcious female around 10 a.m. on Nov. 2, police said. Amanda Skinner was found alert and breathing in a bathtub, but with a syringe in her hand, police said. When asked what was in the syringe, Skinner told the officers she had taken three bags of heroin, police said.

Skinner was taken to the hospital, police said. She was charged with possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
