Hopatcong Motorist Had Crack in Pocket, Police Say

A 62-year-old Hopatcong man admitted to having crack in his pocket after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 23, Hopatcong police said.

According to Lt. Thomas Kmetz, Robert Bullard was stopped on River Styx road for failing to keep right and admitted to patrol that his license was suspended for drug charges.

Bullard told patrol had crack in his coat pocket, and it was found that Bullard had in total: A plastic bag with crack cocaine, two wax folds of heroin, three small-colored bags of suspected crack cocaine residue, a crack pipe and a push rod used for the crack pipe, Kmetz said.  

According to Kmetz, Bullard was taken to headquarters, tested and charged with failure to keep right, reckless driving, DWI, possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a vehicle, driving while suspended and later released.
