It's a short ride to Patterson, guess they didn't get all the dealers off the road back in October, just more addicts

You cannot judge the entire community of Hopatcoong by this individual or other individuals that are breaking the law. We have great citizens in this town and we should be proud of each other.

I'm sorry, I meant Hopatcong not Hopatcoong. I do not want people to assume I am not educated because I live in Hopatcong!

It's getting to the point where you can't give your house away in this town!

Plenty of people are buying in Hopatcong.

I know right, we should go on the internet and bad mouth it some more, that will surely help. I don't know which is more embarrassing, the crime (that is in no way unique to Hopatcong) or the ridiculous, moronic comments made by fools in the comment section. Since Sparta has joined the Patch I have seen very little difference in crime between them and Hopatcong. I have, however, noticed that they don't feel the need to constantly bash their home town. In fact, most of the comments relating to Sparta are made by the same clowns who constantly bad-mouth Hopatcong. Get a life and a clue, you ill-informed, gossiping drama queens.

Most towns like Hopatcong have the same drug problem, but our Police dept has made an extraordinary effort in drug interdiction to minimize the crimes of theft and burglary effecting all the citizens of our town. I am glad they publish all the arrests which will make them not come here.

I know how you feel Tracy. I'm guessing it's fun for someone to be able to anonymously trash the town we live in, but it's getting tired already. If it's so bad why don't you do something about it to make it better. I love our town and I am so grateful for the great people that have become like family over the years.

Buying cause people are leaving they have the lowest school scores in New Jersey any question?
STATE PARK March 01, 2013 at 08:49 PM
There was a time there you could leave your doors and windows open. No more them days long gone they need 40 more cops to clean up the drug problem there. They send our cops to other towns under cover with our tax $$$$$ then promote them when they get back and don't take care of the problem here. Look at the cops who went undercover there sergeants, detectives even chiefs and look at some who been on force 10-15 years are patrolmen cause they never worked for other towns. JOKE POLICE DEPARTMENT HERE
