Drug Distribution Probe Busts Local Operation

Press conference to be held Wednesday afternoon regarding Hopatcong and Roxbury joint investigation.

The Hopatcong and Roxbury Police Departments will be holding a press conference Wednesday afternoon to announce the results of a drug distribution investigation that resulted in arrest warrants for 23 individuals, according to a release from Hopatcong Lt. Thomas Kmetz.

In the joint investigation, dubbed Operation Roxicong, seven search warrants were used, the report said.

The report said 87 police officers from various towns in Sussex and Morris counties helped with the arrests and search warrants early Wednesday morning.

A press conference will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hopatcong Municipal Building where Hopatcong Police Chief Robert Brennan and Roxbury Police Chief James Simonetti will announce the details of the operation.
