Heroin-Hiding Duo Busted by New K-9 Unit, Cops Say
Two Hopatcong residents arrested when resident reports 'unwanted guests' in home, police said.
A pair of Hopatcong residents were arrested and charged with heroin possession after police found them hiding in a residence, Lt. Thomas Kmetz said.
A resident on Alfred Way called police Wednesday to report "unwanted guests" were in the home and may have drugs, Kmetz said. When police arrived, they found Michelle Johnson, 20, and Wolf Schinzel Jr., 21, in separate areas of the home, Kmetz said.
According to police, Johnson was found in a cabinet under the kitchen counter, with a “loaded” syringe of suspected heroin next to her. Schinzel was found hiding under a set of stairs with a curtain hanging over the area, Kmetz said.
